ABOUT CITYSEEKERS

Cityseekers adventures provide primary school aged children living in urban areas the benefits of independent, creative, exploratory play in their local neighbourhood with appropriate supervision.

Cityseekers aims to raise awareness of the diverse cultures, communities, businesses and arts in local areas. Involving the community in the activities helps build connections between young people, their families and the local area.

OUR TEAM
Cityseekers Founder

Nami Nelson is an adventurer at heart. She loves to explore new places and experiences. This, and her passion for social justice, public health and community development has led her to have a successful career designing and managing international development programs in some of the poorest and remote areas of south east Asia.

Nami is now a role model and parent figure to her partner's daughter Charlie. Now part of their family, Nami was inspired to create active play opportunities for Charlie that inspire a healthy curiosity and appreciation for adventure, discovery and diversity.

Ideas for the clues and community challenges have come from the many things Nami is involved in for her social life and work. Influences include street orienteering, sailing, drawing, riding, dancing, cooking or singing and her work with the community sector overseas and in Australia.
